served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. I went on a WestPac cruise in 1993 to the persian gulf. I was a search and rescue swimmer on the USS Camden and the USS Sacremento.

Kevin Lee Cheshier

Army, 4 Years
Kevin Lee Cheshier went to school since 1st Grade. His Senior year he moved to Blooming Grove. He joined the Army and went to Basic Training at Ft. Benning, Georgia and after RR he was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Kevin was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was in combat in Iraq for 16 months. Kevin was a Bradley Tank Gunner and Driver.

Benning, Georgia and after RR he was stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Kevin was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was in combat in Iraq for 16 months. Kevin was a Bradley Tank Gunner and Driver.

Enlisted directly out of high school. Completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Transferred to Fort Eustis, Virginia for Transportation Logistics training. My first Duty station was Fort Bliss, TX, then Yongsan Army Garrison, Korea / Osan AFB, Korea / Back to Fort Bliss, TX / Fort Richarsdon, Alaska / Scott AFB, Illinois / Fort Leonard Wood, MO. That took about 10 years to do. I then separated from Active Service, paused to take a breath and build our home, then re-enlisted into the Reserves as a Combat Engineer. I am currently mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom training Soldiers in the Combat Engineer Field.

I deployed to Iraq for a 12 month deployment in Feb. 2004 where i participated in stability and counter insurgency operations in the Diyalla Province and the assault on Fallujah in November 2004. After returning to Vilseck in February 2005, I was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment and deployed to Iraq for a secon 15 month deployment in August 2007.
